From early December until Epiphany Rome is lit up with the twinkling Christmas lights of stalls selling Christmas goods and the many Christmas trees. Visitors are welcomed into the festive atmosphere with the sights and sounds of Christmas in the Eternal City. Look out for the festivities at the Piazza Navona, Piazza Re di Roma, Via dei Coronari.

The Christmas market on Piazza Navona is one of the most well known in the city. Stands offering curiosities, Christmas decorations, crib figures, hand-crafted goods, antiques, toys, gifts, sweets, cheeses, chestnuts and coloured lights, regional products and much more. On the adjacent streets you’ll find various gospel, mandolin and ethnic music concerts.

From early December until Christmas Eve, there are stalls filled with Christmas sweets and other typical foods, Christmas lights, decorations, gifts and toys.

The Tor di Quinto plays host to the Ice Park which draws thousands of skaters each year. Despite its name the Ice Village is not just about skating it is also home to a lovely Christmas Market situated around the skating rink. Pretty little wooden chalets offer all sorts of regional and traditional, festive goods, a great way to do some Christmas shopping in a warm and festive atmosphere.
There is also something for the children, with Mickey Mouse, Minnie, Donald Duck and other Disney characters making an appearance to entertain the little ones.
