Come and visit the Budapest Christmas Fair if you want to buy something unique and original for your loved ones. At the end of November Vörösmarty Square turns into a festive market place. The location is ideal; Vörösmarty Square is in the heart of Budapest at the end of Váci utca.
Kalocsa town as guest of honour – Kalocsa is famous for its paprika spice and the colourful embroidery that found its way into modern fashion and the unique floral motifs today can be found on everyday clothes and even shoes. You can get embroidered tablecloths, hand-painted porcelain and the famous Hungarian spice at their kiosk.
Gastronomy: besides the usual fair delicacies (kürtös kalács, bread pizza baked in clay oven, roasted chestnut) you can taste traditional Hungarian Christmas dishes: stuffed cabbage in , roasted goose thigh, pork knuckle, grilled sausage and meat.
Santa Claus makes a visit on 6th December at 15.00-16.00 – welcomes little ones and their parents in his cottage.
Varázskert (Magic Garden) playhouse for kids in the middle of the square. Entry is free.
