Moreover, Rattenberg celebrates Advent Season with a sophisticated program of seasonal music, local stores sell a great variety of handmade, elaborate products, and culinary delights will be offered as well.
A medieval city with only 439 inhabitants and covering an area of 11 hectares, Rattenberg is the perfect backdrop for an authentic Advent experience. Be sure to check your calendar, Austria’s smallest city holds its lovely Christmas Market only on certain weekends in December!
The glass town with a unique flair with just 400 inhabitants Rattenberg is Austria’s smallest town. The medieval pedestrian zone is dominated by the unique displays of glass craft in the numerous shops. One of the Tyrol’s leading museums is the Augustiner Museum with its valuable exhibits. The annually held plays of the Schlossbergspiele and the authentic Rattenberger Advent justify Rattenberg‘s privilege as cultural centre of the region.
The fastest way to reach Rattenberg am Inn is via the Inn Valley motorway A12 (toll road). Take the motorway to the exit Kramsach. A toll free alternative if coming from Munich is via the Tergernsee/ Achenpasse pass.
