Advent in Hall is a wonderful time of the year to visit and enjoy the run up to Christmas, the town is lit up with lights and the date is projected onto the front of the houses in the Oberer Stadtplatz for the big countdown! There are many stalls selling gifts and handicrafts. The rich aromas of warming glühwein, gingerbread and grilled sausages fill the air and tempt you to try. For children there are a petting zoo, a horsed-drawn carriage, and a storyteller. Christmas music fills the air as choirs and musicians from Hall and further afield perform. Important for the children is the 6th December, when St.Nicholaus will come to Hall to visit, he will tell stories and sing carols with the little ones and you never know but maybe there will be a small gift or two in his deep pockets for someone!!!
