Suggested Tours of Christmas Markets around Europe
Christmas markets, also known as Christkindlmarkt or Weihnachtsmarkt, have their origins in Germany but today they are being held in Cities, Towns and Villages all over Europe during the season of Advent to celebrate the festive season and bring colour, lights and aromas into the cold, dark nights. The Market is traditionally held in the main square of the town and and is made up of decorated wooden chalets selling gifts, decorations and food and drink, this is all accompanied by Music and carols. A wonderful place to visit at this exciting time. If you cannot choose from which one to visit, why not take the opportunity and do a tour taking in several towns and their magical Christkindlmärkte. Here we offer a selection of some of our favourites.
