This lively resort -known locally as Pas- is situated just a few hundred metres from the French border in the parish of Encamp. The resort sits at an altitude of 2050m with the highest lift at 2640m making Pas the highest resort in the Pyrenees. Due to its superb location (and heavy investment in artificial snow making) Pas enjoys an excellent snow record complimented by plenty of blue skies and sunshine. Good snow often lasts until the first week of May
There is an excellent Camperstop situated near to the town centre in the large car park. Facilities are available, but take note that during the very cold winters the water is switched off and all waste facilities are closed. Entrance is through a barrier and ticket prices are displayed. Also note that this parking is situated at the bottom of a hill and whilst all efforts are made to keep the roads clear, early mornings can bring further snowfalls and ice. Snow chains are advisable.
This page is dedicated to camping recipes, not just for those in tents or out for the week-end, but these are also perfect for motorhome and caravan owners who don’t want to be eating out all the time whilst away or else living on sandwiches. It is nice to eat out and have someone else do the dishes, of course we all like that, but everyday it gets a bit boring and most of all a bit expensive!
