The Pagoda is a Buddhist temple erected in 1983 by the Buddhist community. A beautiful giant Buddah sits facing the sunset and welcomes visitors to the harmonious tinkling of bells. You can visit the ornately decorated temple, just leave your shoes at the entrance, and volunteers will accompany you on your visit. There is a wonderful display of orchids which decorate the scene.There are two great ceremonies celebrated at the pagoda each year – the birth of Buddha and the party of compassion, these are relgious holidays but all are welcome, everyone comes together to pray and to share a vegen meal everybody will bring something to contribute towards the meal.The park at the Pagoda is open daily between 2pm and 6pm, the Pagoda itself is open Wednesday to Sunday from 2pm to 6pm. Entrance is free.
