Oatcake Recipe

Makes 8 Cakes


6 oz Fine Oatmeal
2 oz Flour
1 teaspoon of Salt
10 fl oz of Warm Water


Mix the flour and salt together. Slowly add the warm water. Roll out the mixture on a floured board and knead until ¼inch thick. Cut into triangles. Cook on a pan or griddle until golden on both sides. Dry out in a cool oven at 150°C – 300°F until crisp – eat with butter.
