Shopping in Liverpool

Liverpool is well-known for its ability to shop and shoppers here are spoilt for choice between the new city centre shopping areas, from boutique arcades to bohemian streets and farmers markets. The new “Liverpool One” is right in the heart of the city which is home to more than 160 famous high street names. The “Metquarter” presents more fashion and beauty outlets and the unique “Cavern Walks” is home to the Ultra Fashion shops. At Christmas the city centre is filled with traditional wooden chalets as the Christmas Market presents goods from all over the world.

Liverpool One

Liverpool One, Paradise Street, opened in 2008, offers three levels of shopping and entertainment in a gleaming , shiny shopping complex in the heart of the city. Set into the well-tended lawns there is a stunning piece of glass and concrete architecture showing the inner workings of Liverpool One. During the summer, part of the park has been transformed into a wonderful beach, complete with sand, water, deckchairs and waterfront beach huts selling buckets and spades and candy floss! and even a small amusement park. Coming up to Christmas the same area becomes a winter wonderland, wooden chalets selling hot mulled wine and sizzling sausages, Christmas themed rides and an ice rink.
