Windsor Castle, England

Windsor castle is located in Windsor, England. Berkshire has one of the most famous castles and also the oldest one. The palace is the seat of the Queen Elizabeth and she spends most of her time enjoying in this grand and magnificent castle. After some years it was expanded into apartments for various purposes. The kings and the queen find their homes in the majestic beauty of this place. All the monarchs that have ruled here have added their touch to add to the charming beauty. But the major changed were done during the reign of the King George IV who built the St. George’s cathedral and also a few royal places. After a few years the Queen added a few more features like the chapel and the royal rooms. Finally it opened for the visitors and the public. The castle is about 900 years old and spread in an area of 48000 square feet. There are lovely gardens around the castle with pleasing countryside locations. The St. George’s Chapel is very renowned for the Gothic architectures and its gorgeous features. The picturesque landscapes are must to be seen when you visit the Windsor castle.
