During the summer months the cows feed on the lush pastures high up on the slopes of the Alps but as the weather begins to worsen they are brought back down to the lower pastures, this is called the Almabrieb. Today it has become a major tourist attraction and many of the cows are decorated with garlands of brightly coloured flowers.
