Saint-Ursanne, Switzerland

Saint-Ursanne, the pearl of the Jura

St-Ursanne, the “pearl of the Jura”, is a small medieval town on the shores of the river Doubs with a remarkable history of which the collegiate church with its cloister dating from the 12th century is a witness. In summer, a large number of hiking and mountain bike trails invite to explore the surroundings. The river Doubs is especially attractive for fishermen because of its delicious trout. Those can also be observed while canoeing.

Every two years (odd years), St-Ursanne is the venue of the medieval festival “Les Médiévales”. For three days, the ambiance and typical activities of a medieval town are reconstructed.
