Uppsala houses some unique cultural treasures and is home to Sweden’s largest and tallest church, the Cathedral of Uppsala – Uppsala domkyrka, which was built in the 13th century and consecrated in 1435. The cathedral is also a royal burial site and contains the graves of kings, queens and other important persons including the scientist Carl Linnaeus.
