Quetschentaart – Recipes from Luxembourg


  • 125 g Flour
    1 Egg yolk
    125 g Sugar
    75 g Butter
    500 g Plums,stoned and quartered


Mix the flour with the egg yolk, the butter, 25 gram sugar and a pinch of salt. Knead well and put the dough in the fridge for 1 hour. Roll it out and line a greased pie dish with it. Bake the pie bottom for 5 minutes at 180 ºC. Mix the plums with half of the remaining sugar and the cinnamon and arrange them on the dough. Bake the pie 30 minutes at 200 °C. Sprinkle the rest of the sugar on top.
